Now it's up to you: choose the nearest spot, grab your SPLEENE Kite and off you go.
Snowkitespots Germany
Snowkitespot Feldberg
The snowkite spot Feldberg in the Black Forest is located in the southwest and is usually quite snow-sure. The Feldberg offers plenty of space, good wind conditions and an extremely good infrastructure. From kite schools to toilets and restaurants, you'll find everything a snowkiter's heart desires. The Feldberg is a snowkite spot for all skill levels.
Snowkitespot Wassserkuppe, Rhön
The Wasserkuppe snowkite spot is located on a high plateau 950m above sea level and can therefore be classified as snow-sure. Another highlight is the unobstructed geographical location, as there is nothing here to swirl the wind or direct it in a different direction. The best conditions coupled with a great infrastructure make the Wasserkuppe snowkite spot a highlight for all snowkiters. The Wasserkuppe is also perfect for those who want to learn to snowkite. A snowkite school offers courses and rental equipment here.

Snowkitespot Satzung, Erzgebirge
The Erzgebirbe mountains can also offer a top-class snowkite spot: In Satzung or the higher situated Hirtstein at 890m above sea level, you can look forward to both snow and wind in winter. The open area offers space for countless snowkiters and enough room to make freeriders' dreams come true.
Snowkitespots Austria
Snowkitespot Obertauern
Obertauern is known to many winter sports enthusiasts as a great place for skiing and only a few know that there is also a snowkite spot in Obertauern - right next to the piste in the middle of the village. An open area just above the Lürzer Alm offers a groomed arena with a kicker. However, those who are dedicated to freeriding can ask the local snowkite school for the best spots in the backyard.

Snowkitespot Achensee
Just under 1.5 hours from Munich, the Austrian Achensee is located in a valley that is perfect for southerly and northerly winds. With the southerly wind usually comes the sun and so a snowkite trip to Achenkirch at the northern end of Lake Achensee is also a "sun soak" trip to the mountains. The partially groomed snowkite area at Lake Achensee is also supervised by several schools. Restaurants and stores can be found in the village.
Snowkitespot Straßwalchen/Salzburg
This snowkite spot is a little insider tip and works in the westerly winds that prevail in Salzburger Land in winter. The spot is located on a gentle slope and is a highlight for both beginners and advanced snowkiters due to its varied and extensive terrain and easy accessibility. However, there is no infrastructure, rental equipment or restaurants on site.
Snowkitespots Norway
Snowkiten in Haugastøl
Of course, Norway is a large and snowy country. There are lots of great snowkite spots there. Probably the best known is the nature reserve in Haugastøl. You drive from Oslo in the direction of Bergen. After about 4 hours you reach the area around Geilo. From here, a road leads up to the nature reserve and high plateau. If there is wind and deep snow, this is one of the best snowkiting areas in the world.
Snowkiten in Bergsjøstølen fjellstue
Just before Geilo, turn off to Bergsjøstølen fjellstue. Up here there are frozen lakes in winter and a small cozy hotel with a snowkite school and wonderful hosts at Kåre Berg.
Of course, you can snowkite anywhere where there is snow/ice and wind. However, you should always pay close attention to the conditions, know the wind conditions and ask the landowner for permission. The SPLEENE team wishes you lots of fun in the snow - be careful. By the way: The SPLEENE SQUID Kite performs superbly in the snow and starts backwards excellently.
