1. Kitesurfing in Tarifa, Spain
2. Kitesurfing in Cabarete, Dominican Republic
3. Kitesurfing in the Red Sea, Egypt
When talking about kitesurfing in Egypt, the term "laboratory conditions" eventually comes up. This refers to the above-average consistent wind conditions in the Gulf of Aqaba. Many kitesurfing beginners take their courses there and enjoy their first meters on the kiteboard in the sun and warm water. El Gouna is a city built for tourists directly on the sea. The affordable prices and European standards attract thousands of kitesurfers to this desert city every year. Somabay is about 1 hour from El Gouna Airport and also meets European quality standards. The wind blows steadily, and the 7bft Kitehouse is equipped with everything a kiter's heart desires. Safaga is located just a few kilometers south of Somabay. The thermal wind blows sideshore to the shore in the afternoon and averages around 5 bft.
4. Kitesurfing in Brazil, South America
Brazil has become synonymous with kitesurfing adventure in recent years. Endless beaches, strong, consistent wind, and conditions ranging from flatwater lagoons to waves that every kiter dreams of. Only the price has also significantly increased with its growing popularity in recent years. Jericoacoara, or "Jeri" as kitesurfers call it, is one of the hotspots on the Brazilian coast. Here you will encounter herds of free-roaming donkeys, pigs, and numerous other animals on and off the streets. The sunset is traditionally celebrated on a sand dune, the landmark of Jeri, the Duna do Por do Sol. The tropical climate and temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees attract kitesurfers from the European summer until the end of December to South America. Cumbuco means wide, deserted sandy beaches, no corals, no rocks, just wind, water, and lots of fun. Brazilian charm and palm trees on the beach await you here! In Cumbuco, you will find plenty of accommodation for kitesurfers for small and large travel budgets.
5. Kitesurfing in and around Cape Town, South Africa
The city at the Cape of Good Hope is known not only as a melting pot of cultures but also, especially among kite and windsurfers, for its strong trade winds during the European winter. The wind, called the "Cape Doctor," blows sideshore to the kilometers-long Blouberg Beach and increases throughout the day. The Cape Doctor reaches its peak at around 5:00 PM, sometimes reaching 35 to 40 knots. Blouberg Beach is located north of Cape Town and offers the best view of Table Mountain. On a windy afternoon, Blouberg Beach can get quite crowded. Kilometers-long downwinders, starting at Sunset Beach and ending at Haakgat, are a highlight for many kitesurfers every year. Langebaan is a lagoon about 150 km north of Cape Town. The lagoon offers warmer water than Cape Town and, except for a choppy wind wave, only flat water. If you want to take a kitesurfing course in South Africa, Langebaan is a great choice. Scarborough or Witsand is a kitespot for Big Air fans or advanced wave kiters. With good swell and plenty of wind, WOO records are regularly set at this spot.
6. Kitesurfing in Germany
When thinking about a kitesurfing trip, most people forget about our fantastic kitespots in Germany. Without getting on a plane and wasting money and nerves, you can reach Germany's most beautiful kitespots in just a few hours with a motorhome or campervan. The island of Fehmarn offers kitespots for every wind direction and, as long as there is no summer lull in sight, regular wind. On Fehmarn, you will find flat water, sometimes waves, and even spots deep enough for your kitefoil adventures. Sankt Peter Ording, with its incredibly wide beach, stilt houses, and delicious fish sandwiches, attracts countless kitesurfers to the North Sea every year. For many kitesurfers, Sankt Peter Ording is the best kitesurfing spot in Germany, and we are also big fans.
